I am kinda feeling my way along with this lens. It is mounted on a Sony NEX-6. Here are a couple of pictures I took of some ferns.

I can see nothing to complain about in those. But in order to have any thoughts I’d want to see some shots that might stress the lens a bit: contrast... corner sharpness... bokeh quality... flare control... that sort of thing.

What focal length? Everything looks very good to me. I find my copy to be excellent on 24MP sensors of my two bodies. When one factors in the age and price, it's a remarkable manual zoom.
